However, the Punjab Home Department has forwarded the recommendations of the specialized medical board, formed by the government to inspect into Sharif s medical condition, to the chief minister’s office for approval before further procedure of his treatment.

Besides, his medical reports are also sent to the chief minister s office.

Moreover, his personal physician Dr Adnan said that Allama Iqbal Medical College’s Principal Prof Dr Arif Tajamul could better inform on the matter.

He stated that Sharif besides suffering from a heart disease has been undergoing other diseases as well.

Regarding his angiography, he said that the recommendations of the specialised medical board comprising senior doctors would be followed.

“All medical boards have termed his disease ‘sensitive’,” he said, adding that angiography would determine the actual nature of the disease.

The accountability court on December 24 convicted Sharif in the Al-Azizia reference and sentenced him to seven years in prison, and acquitted him in the Flagship reference case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Mega corruption scandal.
